Sturgis Vacation Packages

No AC. Not broken,just non-existent. Earwigs over bathroom door, plaster bits on bathroom floor, no toilet paper in room, no chairs at all, two throw pillows as sleeping pillows, nothing larger. Dilapidated building, car got scratched up while there, knocking and loud music until around 4AM. TV went on by itself at around 1AM, 2:37AM, and again around 3:30AM, at which point we unplugged it from the wall. There was a mini fridge and microwave, both unplugged, in the room and water on the floor, which was rough-textured linoleum tiling. Bathtub faucet would not shut off all the way. No latch on door. Initially gave us the rwong room keys. You couldn't pay me to stay there again. Bates Motel would be a step up!

Please add coffee makers in all the rooms.

It was just a basic motel. No frills. Very safe and the staff were exceptional.

outdoor stairs were a fun adventure for us with a snow storm, but we made it. We really enjoyed the front porch and heater in there while resting and reading.

I arrived at the hotel and it was nothing like it was advertised. The outside was dirty, grown up, and you could see a boarded up window. I walked into the hotel and it smelled terrible. The inside lobby was filthy. No one was a the desk. I turned around and left and requested a refund before leaving the parking lot. I usually always stay at Holiday Inn Express in my travels. I was highly disappointed in this Holiday Inn Express.

This hotel is in a good location on I-80; 120 miles East of Chicago. It’s in Sturgis, Michigan, just over the state line from Indiana. I read some negative comments about the dated nature of the hotel. Seems it’s been updated (paint, carpeting). Breakfast options were decent too. We found it perfect for our needs.

Hair dryer didn't work, but otherwise ok.
