The carpet was a little dirty with stains but all of the linens, towels, bathroom etc were very clean. The staff were friendly. The AC worked well. I’d stay here again as it was one of the most affordable actual hotel rooms in Manhattan.

The staff is excellent, especially the doormen like Dino. Phillipe Staark renovations are ancient, 2007 renovations are also old. This was a lounge bar scene at one point, now the bar doesn’t even open. Elevators or 2 were not functioning sometimes. King room and bathroom are spacious, location is great. But new ownership and a fresh renovation is due.
