Worst place I ever stayed smelling like humidity bathroom dirty everywhere disgusting

I had reserved a non smoking room (was also told the entire hotel was non smoking) weeks in advance. Checked in after a 12 hour drive and the room REEKED of cigarette smoke as though someone had just smoke in there. It was disgusting. Individual named Matthew at the front desk said no other rooms were available and could not have cared less- told me Expedia would have to refund me IF their manager approved the next day. The manager the next day initially refused to provide a refund though we had to book another hotel close by and could not spend the e night there. A second individual with Expedia was able to help me and convince th hotel manager to provide a refund. Overall the rest of the hotel seemed fine but the only part that was important for us as far as a clean room was a waste. Eventually got the refund but it was frustrating after a long day of travel. Would not risk booking again.
