Very clean. Good to have restaurant on site. Glad to be walking distance to Trader Joe’s and many stores. Enjoyed the free shuttle around town. Staff was helpful. Coffee at the restaurant was very good!

This hotel is truly mediocre in every way. But when you don't have a lot of good choices around UC Berkeley then you take what you get even if they charge you an arm and a leg during high season. Unfortunately the city of Berkeley in general does not care about up keeping and modernizing buildings. They also don't seem to care much about cleanliness. I am all for keeping the old charm but I think you can still upgrade and clean up a place while keeping the old charm but that doesn't seem to be a priority for the hotel owners or for uc Berkeley in general where the students at the old halls have to deal with mold and disgusting showers. And there was also black spots in the showers at thus hotels which I would assume to be mold as well. It's the ""charm" I guess.

A very good place to stay. The house is so clean, and the host is so friendly and helpful.
