Clean room, plenty of parking space

Me and my children take a family trip every year. We’ve made it a family tradition we like staying at Lake Harmony and Big Boulder and where I stayed this weekend was very nice. It’s very cozy very clean and neat and we had fun. I love the hot tub and will be back again. Thank you.

Handles on the bath had soap scum and the frying pans were dirty. Other than that the place was clean and comfortable.

Clean lovely area! House had issue with upstairs sink, water went down way to slow. Also no hot water in same sink. Could use new carpet steps n upstairs. We had a great time, went to Jim Thorpe for the day… great, shopping, restaurants, railroad train ride. We’ll be back in Spring

The room was very clean and just what we needed. The common areas are nice and comfortable. It is nice to have access to coffee, tea and snacks through out the day. Breakfast was especially good!

About an hour or so before our arrival we were messaged via the expedia app stating the jacuzzi in the jacuzzi room we booked had broke and they were moving us to a non-jacuzzi room in the main house. We weren't given the option to cancel or even asked if it was suitable to be switched. The whole reason we booked was for the jacuzzi tub. The property is self-check in. When we arrived on property, there was a weird stack of bibles at the front desk, with one opened to a passage and a small figure of Jesus. The property seemed completely deserted. And, to be honest, incredibly spooky and weird. When we looked at the room it was facing the street and since it was an old house you could hear the street noise very loudly. The furniture was very uncomfortable. This property was so disappointing that we just left. We called Expedia for a refund and after an hour on the phone, they weren't able to refund me and said it was with the property to be responded to via email...whatever that means. I would not book here. I am not sure why it was given good reviews. This place is a real dump.

Its a very nice place, seems like it was updated recently. But those upgrades need maintenance. The master shower faucet isn’t mounted properly so the handle and cover plate move around whenever you use it. There’s a hand towel rack that needs to be remounted because the wall anchors are falling out. There front storm door is falling off the hinges and it doesn’t have pneumatic door closer so its constantly swinging open. And they advertise that there’s a pool but i was never able to access it. Other guests told me they were given a passcode but I never received one. Tried speaking to someone from Avant stay team but no one ever called me back. And there’s no one on site….. no security person at the front, no one in the office building did not see one staff person the entire week. But it was clean and they had decent WiFi.
