Such a charming place to stay. Older property but our King Suite was nicely remodeled. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Great place to stay and is definitely going to be our spot!

The property is nice and clean, but the air conditioning didn’t work and it was very hot inside, overall had a nice stay.

Beautiful property! Perfect for our family to stay during a wedding weekend. The home is exceptionally well maintained and easy access to everything Santa Barbara has to offer! The gardens were incredibly pretty and we understand why the home has been named Hummingbird Haven!!

Fantastic little hotel in a nice area. Minutes from everything in Santa Barbara. Staff were all nice and our room looked like a little apartment with a kitchen and fridge. Very helpful for leftovers from dinner out! The grounds were so beautiful! The breakfast was great too. They had egg frittatas, out meal, cereal, yogurt parfaits and pastries. Coffee and tea. We ate inside but lots of people ate on the patio outside the lobby which was really nice. I highly recommended this hotel.

The room was okay. Little disappointed at the need for repairs. A cabinet was off the hinge, the bathroom door was not hung well and stuck when closing. Plates in the cupboard were dirty.

We enjoyed our stay at The Upham Hotel overall. The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our visit, and the customer service was excellent. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, with plenty of outdoor seating areas to relax and enjoy the property. That said, our room wasn’t quite what we expected, especially for the price. It felt smaller than it appeared in the photos, and there were several maintenance and wear issues that made it feel less upscale than we anticipated. The bathroom door didn’t close completely, the sofa was noticeably worn and stained, and the bedskirt had a large hole in it. We understand that this is a historic hotel and appreciate its charm, but we were expecting the furnishings and room condition to be better maintained. Overall, we had a pleasant stay because of the wonderful staff and lovely grounds, but we do think the guest rooms could use some updates and better upkeep to better reflect the hotel’s pricing.

The room and courtyard area were well kept. Beds were comfortable and it was quiet. Kitchen was also very nice.

Beautiful property, excellent location just extremely pricey.
