This is a truck stop motel with a nice lawn and an okay pool. It happens to be near the ocean with a couple hundred years of sandy beach. Without the beach it wouldn’t be worth much. Maui Beach Hotel
All in all it's a solid location and easy to get around. They have 2 treadmills in the gym, both of which do not work properly if your goal is to have somewhere to exercise after work. The staff is awesome.

The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua
Resort was beautiful! However, there was just one small inconvenience which was the lost of internet connection and so we were not able to stream YouTube for 2 days. Other than that the resort was awesome in every way. Staffs were super friendly and helpful!
