Arrived an hour early and told we couldn’t check in yet, they were still cleaning rooms. I get it that we were early but very unfriendly about it and there were other people in the same boat. So we went and waited in our car. There is nothing around here within a 10 mile distance except a dive bar and some kind of cafe that wasn’t open. The description for this hotel says “only hotel located in a national park”. Technically it is, but really is right next to 101, you have to drive awhile to be “in” a park. However it is on Yurok property and there was a visitor center that we didn’t get a chance to see. They don’t provide in room coffee or service the room to “save resources”. Almost all of the staff we encountered on our two day stay were so unfriendly, it made us uncomfortable. It was just an okay stay and we would not stay here again. The breakfast was good though.

If you love historic places to stay you’ll love this inn. There are pictures of when it was a fishing inn from the early 1900s. The floors are creaky and it’s not very soundproof but the location is off the main road so it’s fairly quiet there. The road down to the river from the inn is sort of trashy - apparently lots of fishermen hang out there at times. We didn’t stay for breakfast which isn’t included in the room price. The staff woman who welcomed us was amazing and very kind - even fresh-baked cookies were available! Keep in mind there’s no TV and the starlink internet network is fast. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Oh and very squishy yet very comfortable beds.

Run down, not that clean and uncomfortable bed. The place was very musty smelling too.

I knew what I was paying for when I got this room. All I was expecting was a clean bed and a shower. What I wasn't expecting was a kiosk instead of a front desk agent. The kiosk was connected to someone in the Phillipines and the internet connection kept cutting in and out. Super obnoxious.
