Your lack of in-person assistance is ridiculous (and will absolutely be a safety issue). On the second night of our three night stay, our key cards stopped working. My husband went to the office to get them reset, and he had to wait almost 15 minutes while locked out of the office (in the cold and wind). Later, I had to go to the office to get more towels, and I found myself in the same situation; that is incredibly unsafe. The condition of the room was a story in itself. The sheets had stains, the air conditioning didn’t work, and the space between the refrigerator and the end of the bed was designed for a toddler. The curtains’ ends didn’t come together and they had holes, so the light from outside BLASTED into our eyes all night. The room was so loud because of the traffic, but we couldn’t close the window because the AC didn’t work. Clearly, we will not return. PS-As I was waiting for the non-available tele-clerk, a perspective customer asked what I was doing. I explained your entirely unhelpful system, and she gave her husband one look before they shot out of the parking lot headed for anywhere but this motel.

Check in and out was done at a kiosk with a virtual assistant. When the lobby is busy. Mornings it is hard to hear the virtual assistant.

We liked it was on the beach. However, there was no air conditioning and we had to leave the sliding glass door ajar and the screen did not lock. We had to find items in the room to place in the rail to limit the distance the sliding glass door would open. Being unfamiliar with the area, we were on high alert all night for an intruder. It is also right on Hwy 101. The highway noise dissipates after 10:00 PM and starts back up around 7:00 AM. It was in a handy location to reach Prairie Creek and all the interesting Redwood Park sites.
