What a quaint and cute cottage. Loved the room and freshly ground coffee! It's a ROKU TV, so have your passwords ready, but all was great! Would have been nice to have a couple of breakfast items. Otherwise, enjoy! Beautiful view!

Excellent location - can walk everywhere.

The Inns was pricey. Location was decent -close enough to the water although without any view. We got a suite and it seemed spacious enough but so little space to do anything at all. For instance, no coffee table to spread out breakfast (which was nice if you don’t mind a pure carb and sugar meal in the morning). And we had our suitcases on the floor because there was nothing to put them on - between the space and the price it felt stupid. No AC it but we didn’t need it. But no microwave? Mendocino kind of sucks in terms of food choice. Pricey American “fine dining”. One grocery store about a km away offers a few choices. But we couldn’t buy soup or any frozen dinners. Weird choices seem to create weird outcomes (or are we all expected to cozy up to some fine dining place?). You get some complimentary wine and cheese from 4-5 ?! Guess people want to go home (I did not mind missing that). We did Mendocino differently last time. Stayed in Fort Bragg and drove down for a walk along the very nice coastline. Lots more dining options there and just more practical stays. Will go back to that. Last thing - The Inns shows some pics on their Expedia page but the actual acco you get is likely to be something else. They have a bunch of buildings all over the place. Location and aesthetic vary a lot and you don’t get to make the choice - it is made for you. I think they need to be more transparent about this… Hmmm… I really did not like this place at all.

We’ve stayed here twice and enjoyed both stays. Excellent location, amenities (full kitchen), and views of the ocean. Communication with the staff was responsive and addressed our requests. We’ve seen hummingbirds early evening by the fire pit; a nice source of natural entertainment. Attached are 2 photos: sunset and reflection of the sunrise on the water’s horizon.

SCP Mendocino Inn and Farm is a must-stay lodging option for all. The staff are extremely helpful and super communicative, especially if you are requesting after hours check-in. There were clear instructions regarding parking, breakfast, and information on the grounds. I wholeheartedly appreciate their sustainable practices and genuine care for the environment, it’s evident in the way their breakfast is curated, the free toiletries that are available, and the products available in their kitchenette areas. In specific, I valued how customers have an option to elect their breakfast options and breakfast delivery. The wired baskets, and reusable containers breakfast was delivered in created a loving picnic feel. Having farm fresh eggs, garden veggies, and home made baked goods was a great way to start each morning. I especially appreciated the fact that the kitchenettes available throughout the property carried ceramic mugs, with various tea options and coffee at all times of the day. I definitely drank my fair share of tea. A notable mention is the ability to admire the llamas and feed the wonderful chickens. The ability to interact with nature and spend quality time with animals is therapeutic. Couple that with the chance to sit on the lawn chairs while sipping hot tea - it truly can’t get any better. The location is perfect with various walking trails and a quick 2 minute drive to the nearest beach, and a 8 minute drive to the nearest town.

The location is absolutely wonderful. The grounds are beautiful. Our room was old and worn out and the toliet needed to be repaired. I had dogs with us and did want to call in maintenance. I believe perhaps our room was maybe for pets and not as updated as other since our friends had an updated room. I would not recommend staying in room 1. The breakfast and bar area was fabulous and we were treated very well by the staff.

I paid for a bed and breakfast at nearly $500/night and they stopped food last May. No notification was made to this. In stead one enters a lonely sparsely furnished livingroom with card tables with chess and checkers on them. A Keurig coffee machine which you have to fill the water and chocolate chip cookies that were baked the night before. There is virtually nobody around with a feeling of just emptiness. There was no ambience at all. It has such potential but it’s been dropped for more profit by providing less. Short sighted as it has resulted in this negative review which many will read. Magnificent view from front yard but it can’t carry the rest of the house emptiness and coldness.
