This place has gone down hill since it changed owners. Won’t stay here again. It’s a shame because it’s a beautiful historic property. The bar is really nice for a drink. The staff at the front desk is rude at best, especially Don.

Wonderful staff and wonderful building. My wife felt the breakfasts were some of the best breakfast dishes she’s had at any hotel or cafe. The reason I rated 4 instead of 5 stars is because the mattress wasn’t particularly comfortable and the soap/shampoo didn’t feel like it totally cleaned. Location gave excellent walking, running, and driving access, and free parking made having a car in the city very easy. I would stay here again without second thought!

The Roycroft Inn is unique and provides a respite place with history. The restaurant had excellent food that is part of the Inn. The Roycroft campus across the street is very interesting and worth a walk through and tour. The Inn has an incredible collection of arts and craft furniture in the main rooms as well as the sleeping rooms. Overall the property could use a refresh, new carpet and painting and a scrubbing. The bones of the places are great, but the interiors are tired.

The o ly problem is had was 1 night it smelled like smoke in our room, so bad my husband called the desk to report it. Otherwise great place, nice breakfast, friendly staff.

They gave us a handicapped room. Nice king-sized bed. Room was fairly good sized, a place for our suitcase and a small rack to hang our jackets & bags, desk for some stuff and the computer. Had 2 chairs to watch tv, extra points for that. Refrigerator was good to keep our waters cold, would have liked a freezer to keep our cold packs frozen but seems like all hotels are changing to only refrigerators. The bathroom... good for handicapped people with wheelchairs but for us not so good, no shower curtain so water sprayed out of the shower all over the floor. Luckily, they gave us an extra towel to put on the floor. Lots of room in the bathroom for a wheelchair but no counter space for our "stuff." My pet peeve in most hotel bathrooms, no place to put soap, toothbrushes, hooks to hang clothes, towels. A plus was a regular bathroom door, no barn door like Hampton Inn... hate barn doors. But our biggest disappointment was no breakfast. Breakfast was advertised in the ad. Clerk said no breakfast. We could see there was no place to serve breakfast. Baymont, at $177 for the night, is off our list. But there is a Tim Horton's across the parking lot with excellent coffee and egg sandwiches!
