Loved staying in an historic hotel. Very nicely refurbished. Affordable and conveniently located for either Little Italy of Gaslamp District. Valet parking might seem a splurge but it's worth it. Staff at hotel and valet are wonderful, helpful and very friendly. Got a great deal on Expedia for this stay, but will definitely be coming back here again.

Lorraine, the manager, is extremely rude and very combative. Not only is she extremely rude to customers staying there, but also to her employees as well. If you ever have to go to her about your concerns, she will be very dismissive about your concerns. I told her AC was out for two days and she said,"no it wasnt." As if SHE was the one who stayed in the room herself. Thankfully, everything was resolved but the experience my family and I had here with her as well as the Hispanic woman who waves her hands around her face up at the front desk was absolutely unprofessional and made our vacation such a poor experience. The only good experience was Mel. You are amazing. That man needs a raise.

Digital clerk. Housekeeping by request. Concrete floors. But gets the job done for a lower budget.

Brie was the property manager on duty 7am-10pm. Brie was the kindest, friendliest and most informative hotel front desk/property manager that we have ever encountered. We love the retro vibe of the hotel, the pool, the Rose Bar, complimentary bicycles, fire pits..
