Vermilion Vacation Packages

The Good - - Staff was friendly and willing to help. - Check-in was easy and quick and the courtesy factor was high. - Modern mirror in the washroom that does not fog. - Area was isolated so quiet with little to no road noise. - Beds were CLEAN (I mean I could smell the detergent). - Pillows were soft. The Bad - - Lots of cameras in the front desk area (weird). - I was asked to sign a digital pad without being able to read what I was signing. - The wifi didn't work till I told them and then they reset it. - vending machines were all unpowered and unusable. - ice machine was offline. - room refrigerator was at barely cool temp (had to find the thermostat to get it to cool). - outside doors do not work but also do not have any means to bar entry if forced. The Ugly - - roaches found in rooms (two room booked) - tub floods due to lack of drain cleaning - room were inconsistent (one had high beds with built in lighting that made the room look dark, the other had modern beds with adequate lighting) - less pillows than needed. Didn't want to bother the front desk. OVERALL this motel has great potential and seems to be in the middle of a renovation. Why they don't just limit the rooms to half the motel, fix it up and then swap room sets is beyond me. If they fumugate the roaches, it's a great little find on the road.

Front desk was very friendly, and helpful.

The room itself was okay, but overall cleanliness was disappointing. The stairwells looked neglected and the towels felt worn out. Check-in was also unwelcoming, which set the wrong tone.

Everything was wonderful. I enjoyed my stay.

Restaurant and bar hours very limited. Staff not helpful with finding alternatives for lunch or other.

The property was not dirty and not well maintained despite the fact that they said it was recently remodeled. My reservation was not on file and later I was told that someone else has checked into my room. Eventually it was all straightened out and I was given a room. the floors in the room were sticky a dirty.

Nice quiet place staff is friendly I’ll be back when I’m in the area
