Very good bed with two pillows. The AC/heat unit worked well. There were plenty of electrical outlets. Lighting was good. We checked in late and were not settled in the room until 10pm. My stay was very pleasant. The motel staff was really friendly and helpful and I checked in with ease. The room was clean and well maintained. I would definitely come here again.

Red Lion Hotel Boise Downtowner
First room we were assigned had not been cleaned. Front desk said they cleaning staff was understaffed. Hallway carpets were in tatters plus piles of dirty laundry lined hallways (on that tattered carpet) *throughout* the building. Exterior sliding glass door in our room did not lock.

Unfortunately, there was a mild odor in my room... thinking diaper smell. I asked for some deodorizer and no one was able to help me. I suppose I could have asked to change rooms so thats on me. The bed and the pillows were really soft and cozy. So many hotels have hard beds these days. This hotel reminds me of what hotel beds used to be. They also had nice cozy robes too. Overall would recommend. The staff was nice especially the valet and the night staff.
