This is such a classic spot in Durango. Right on the river, you can feel the history when you walk in. The staff are friendly, and the restaurant serves delicious meals. A little pricey at times, but worth it!

Historic Strater Hotel
Very nice historical hotel. Food is excellent! Great salad, chicken pot pie and filet mignon. Rooms are very nice, the shower area is a little tight. Beds are comfortable and nice towels.

Retro Inn at Mesa Verde
Awesome little spot. Even though it's right on the main drag through town, it was quiet. The staff is excellent. Got a good recommendation on a restaurant in town. I will stay here whenever I'm near here.

The room is advertised as having two queen beds and one king bed. That is completely false. The two smaller beds are full sized at best and the larger one is a queen. The advertising is pretty deceiving.
